About Trina

I am an End-of-Life Doula and Healthcare Transition Navigator, supporting individuals and families during late-stage healthcare transitions, when the focus shifts from seeking a cure to prioritizing comfort, clarity, and personal choice. I see the dying process as a profound rite of passage, one that holds emotion, transformation, and the potential for healing. In my work, I partner with hospice teams, individuals, and their loved ones to create an intentional and meaningful journey, helping people understand what’s possible and offering options they may not even know they have. My role is to walk alongside you with steady presence and clear guidance, so you can shape your final chapter in a way that reflects your values and wishes.

Receiving a life-limiting diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating, but it doesn’t mean you have to follow a default path. There are meaningful choices available, including options that offer greater autonomy over how and when you die. I help you understand those options and navigate them with care, so your ending can feel more aligned and as gentle as possible. Whether you’re planning ahead or facing an immediate need, I’m here to support you through it.

I am currently based in Austin, Texas, and continue to work extensively with clients in California and across the United States. My work often includes travel for in-person support as well as virtual guidance for planning and coordination.

A Personalized Approach to Support

When an end-of-life option like VSED is chosen, it is not a one-size-fits-all process - and neither is the support around it.

Preparation can be done entirely virtually, allowing you the time and space to reflect, plan, and make informed decisions with clarity and care.

When it comes to implementation, the needs often shift.
Some clients want a trusted presence at the bedside. Others prefer quiet, guided support from a distance. Many choose a blend of both.

I offer a flexible, highly personalized model of care:

  • Traveling to be physically present once a relationship is established

  • Providing steady virtual guidance throughout the process

  • Collaborating with a carefully selected local doula to ensure in-person support

This approach allows you to receive experienced, steady guidance without being limited by geography.

Everything is designed around one question:
What will feel most supportive to you?

My services are for those who…

Those who seek my services tend to be “out of the box” thinkers who are fiercely independent.  They desire the opportunity to create an end-of-life experience on their own terms.  They often feel a pull to do things differently and to forge their own path.

Many are quietly asking important questions: What does quality of life mean to me? What feels like too much? What would a more natural path look like? They are open to weighing the benefits and burdens of medical treatment and, at times, considering what it might mean to allow things to unfold with less intervention.

This isn’t about rejecting care—it’s about making intentional, informed choices. My clients value having space to think, ask questions, and create a plan that feels grounded, supported, and right for them.

If this resonates with you, please reach out to discuss your options with me.
